Bootlin at Open Source Summit Europe 2026 and Linux Plumbers 2026

PragueFrom October 5 to October 9 this year, Prague will be the place to be for the open-source community, and especially for embedded open-source developers. The Open Source Summit Europe will take place there from October 7 to 9, while Linux Plumbers Conference will run from October 5 to 7. Numerous co-located events are also being organized around these two major conferences.

Bootlin will once again have a strong presence in Prague, both in terms of attendance and technical presentations.

Open Source Summit

Open Source Summit EuropeNo fewer than 26 engineers from our team will be attending the event, representing almost the entire company. This reflects one of Bootlin’s long-standing policies: every engineer, regardless of his seniority, is given the opportunity to attend at least two conferences each year. We believe this is essential to help our engineers stay up to date with the latest developments in the embedded open-source ecosystem, build and strengthen relationships with fellow developers and maintainers, and ultimately provide even better services to our customers while continuing to grow professionally.

With the Embedded Linux Conference co-located with the Open Source Summit, this is one of our must-attend events every year, which explains the large Bootlin delegation. This year’s edition will be particularly rich in technical content: thanks to Embedded Linux Conference talks running in parallel with the Open Source Summit morning keynotes, many additional presentation slots became available, allowing a total of 76 sessions to be scheduled. Bootlin CEO Thomas Petazzoni once again served on the Program Committee, contributing to the review and selection of talks.

In addition to attending, Bootlin will also contribute extensively to the conference by delivering no fewer than 9 talks, all of which are now listed in the recently published schedule:

Linux Plumbers

Linux PlumbersThis year, 9 Bootlin engineers will be attending Linux Plumbers Conference, one of the key events for discussing ongoing Linux kernel development and future directions with the upstream community.

While the detailed schedule for all microconferences has not yet been published, we already know that two of our proposed sessions have been accepted:

Co-located events

A few Bootlin engineers will not only attend the Open Source Summit and/or the Linux Plumbers conference, but they will also participate to some of the co-located events:

Come and meet us!

If you’re attending any of these events, don’t hesitate to get in touch! It’s always a pleasure to meet in person the open-source users, contributors, developers, and maintainers with whom we interact throughout the year on mailing lists. We also enjoy meeting those who have attended our training courses or made use of our freely available training materials. If you see one of us in Prague, come and say hello!
