Updated OpenWrt support for STM32 platforms, OpenWrt 24.10.6 with ST BSP v6.2

We are happy to announce a new release of our OpenWrt feed openwr-feed-st which  provides integration of ST’s STM32MP (MP1 and MP2) platforms with the OpenWrt build system. This new release (openstlinux-6.6-openwrt-24.10.6-mpu-v26.02.18) is based on OpenWrt 24.10.6 and uses the ST BSP v6.2.

Release Notes

Since our last announcement, we’ve made significant progress and released six new versions:

Starter Package

The Starter Package is collection of tools and images which allow you to test and use OpenWrt on STM32MPU platforms without building everything yourself from source. Links to download are available in the Starter Package Documentation. The Starter Package contains:

  • SDK
A stripped-down buildroot and a pre-compiled toolchain designed to cross compile packages without compiling the whole system from scratch.
  • Image Builder
A pre-compiled environment for creating custom images without compiling them from source. It downloads pre-compiled packages and integrates them in a single flashable image.
  • Package repositories
Package repositories are used by the Image Builder for creating custom images or to install additional packages on the target.
  • Prebuilt images
Factory and sysupgrade images for all profiles.

Since OpenWrt v24.10.7 is now available, a new feed release should follow shortly to align with this update.
