The next edition of the Capitole du Libre conference will take place in Toulouse, on November 14th to 15th. The Capitole du Libre is a major event about Free Software in Toulouse – if not the biggest one- and more generally in France, bringing together students, hobbyists and professionals around talks, workshops and project booths. Many Bootlin engineers will once again attend the event, and contribute actively to it at different levels:
- once again this year again, Bootlin is a Platinum sponsor of the event, the highest sponsorship level, as in previous editions
- Bootlin will have its own booth in the main hall: feel free to stop by and meet the Bootlin team to discuss activities, career and internships, or just take a look at the hardware and products we are working on !
- Thomas Petazzoni will be presenting the sequel to his talk from last year: What’s new in the Linux kernel? A year of changes, 2026 edition
- Thomas Bonnefille will be presenting an over-the-air update implementation: Secure over-the-air updates for embedded systems with RAUC
- Maxime Chevallier and Alexis Lothoré will run a game workshop to introduce attendees to system diagnostics/tracing: Linux Tracing Escape Game: hunt down system defects !
We are looking forward to attending this conference and meeting you there!
