We’re happy to announce that we’re starting Bootlin Live, a (hopefully) regular live video podcast that will cover embedded Linux topics in the broadest sense, as we aim at also covering open-source RTOS, hardware, and other related topics relevant to embedded open-source developers. Save the date of Sep 30 at 6 PM UTC+2 for the first episode and read on for more details on this new initiative.
Bootlin has knowledge sharing strongly rooted in its DNA: we have been publishing all our training materials freely under an open-source license for more than 16 years, we give talks to share our knowledge at pretty every conference we attend, and we strongly contribute back to open-source projects. It is following this spirit that we had the idea of launching Bootlin Live.
The first episode, called Bootlin Live #0, will take place on September 30, 2024 at 6 PM UTC+2. This episode will be animated by Thomas Petazzoni, and will have many guests from Bootlin, but for the future episodes, we hope to be able to invite guests from other companies, projects or initiatives. This first episode will cover the following topics:
- Feedback from the Embedded Open Source Summit Europe that took place on Sep 16-17 in Vienna, with Bootlin engineers Théo Lebrun and Olivier Benjamin as guests
- Feedback from the Linux Plumbers conference that took place on Sep 18-20 in Vienna, with Bootlin engineers Maxime Chevallier and Luca Ceresoli as guests
- An update on improvements that have been implemented and deployed on our source code indexing website elixir.bootlin.com during this past summer, with Bootlin engineer Théo Lebrun and Elixir contributor Franciszek Stachura as guests
Join us through our Youtube channel or directly on the Bootlin Live #0 stream. This first episode is also for us a way to see if there is interest in this initiative, and hopefully get feedback on what topics we should cover next!
