Antonin Godard

Antonin joined Bootlin’s Lyon office in 2024 as an Embedded Linux Engineer.

Antonin graduated in 2020 with a master degree from Telecom Paris, a French engineering school, and from Eurecom in 2019, a international english-speaking research institute and school. In 2020, he also studied at Polytechnique Montréal for an exchange semester. During school he mostly focused on embedded systems and security.

After school, Antonin came back in France to complete an internship at Witekio, where he got started with Yocto and OTA updates for field devices. He followed-up at Witekio and worked for several years on Yocto-based projects, designing and architecturing BSPs for various customers and maintaining them. He also has experience with secure boot, CI/CD , CVE analysis, OTA updates and automated testing, and had the opportunity to work for a year in Witekio’s Seattle office to pursue his work on Yocto-based projects for American customers.

Over the years, Antonin got to work with Xilinx Zynq Ultrascale, NXP Layerscape and i.MX SoCs as well as some experience with TI AM62 and x86 based-SoCs for which he got bootloaders (U-boot / Grub), the Linux kernel and various open-source software up and running.

Antonin is the current maintainer of the Yocto Project official documentation, where he reviews incoming patches and also takes care of making the documentation relevant and up-to-date, with many different contributions.
