Diogo IvoDiogo Ivo is an Embedded Linux Engineer since 2023, having joined Bootlin in 2026.

He graduated with a Master’s Degree in Engineering Physics from Instituto Superior Técnico in 2022. His experience with the Linux kernel started that same year, when his interest in open-source software led him to start tinkering with running Linux on the devices he had available, namely the Google Pixel C, for which he submitted his first contributions to the mainline kernel.

This experience enabled him to deepen his interest and acquire knowledge on embedded Linux, which he then transitioned into a position as an Embedded Linux Engineer at Siemens starting in 2023. There, he worked with edge industrial platforms and gained experience in Yocto integration, platform maintenance and BSP kernel updates and contributed upstream, namely an Ethernet driver for the Texas Instruments AM654x SR1.0 SoC and a watchdog driver for the Intel Over-Clocking watchdog.

Throughout this time, his effort on improving Linux focusing on the Pixel C continued and he is an active contributor to this platform, contributing several dozen patches to the kernel and acquiring knowledge on a multitude of subsystems and topics ranging from USB-C to hardware media accelerators.
