12/17/2021 16:27:038I'd reccomend maybe more labs, I feel that sometimes the talking can go on too long, and you start to lose attention, but labs you maintain attention more. basically just suggesting a ratio change between labs and slides.7as mentioned in the overall, just talking about subjects too long, sometimes by the time you get to the lab you've glossed a bit over something important. i think a more lab centered process would be better, maybe intertwining them a bit.10no problems910good guy answered all our questions very well, knew what he was doing.9its only a 9 cause "you don't know what you don't know" I'm sure eventually on my yocto journey i'll find something that would have been nice, but that is also part of learning process etc..., its only a nine cause i'm a slightly harsh skepticlearning about sdk's were cool i feel that related more to things i've done in the pastnothing was too bad for me to really say least, i guess the extra talking, but at the end of the day that is probably just the way my specific brain is wired.Management decision

12/17/2021 18:42:1610108We had a mixed group with some more experienced and others who were not so it was a little too fast paced for some people which slowed the labs down. Also some of the information in the labs was out of date.1010I really appreciated how Alex took the time to compare Yocto to buildroot since we use buildroot currently. He also answered all our impromptu questions as we went through the training. 10I actually liked most of the course, from the interactive demos while going through the training slides to working through the labs. The more advanced sections were hard to follow along with since I am newer to Yocto, but I appreciate they are included in the training so I can go back and reference those sections later when I might need them.Course contents, Availability of training materials, Pricing, Since Bootlin is deeply involved in Embedded Linux, they seem like the perfect choice for training. I would much rather have someone doing the work train than someone just paid to be a trainer.Overall it was a great course with lots of useful details that help engineers that will actively be working with Yocto. We might be interested in a couple engineers attending your Linux Graphics System training. Also if it was offered, courses in real-time Linux or using containers in embedded Linux would be helpful too.

12/17/2021 23:03:2710Fix the couple broken examples :)10Alex is very knowledgeable about yocto, above and beyond what is in the slides and very patient and helpful with the "practitioners" as they ran into errors. 9good experience to see the tools in action10I'm not the best judge since I've already worked with yocto, but I thought it was a very good introduction to the material.1010my boss choose it not me, but I would choose bootlin again, down to earth and very practicallinux graphics, i'm still in the process of annoying my boss to sign us up for that one.
