Maxime was very patient, and he went through the material at a good pace.It was difficult to follow along with the lab sometimes because the training was virtual. I don't know how this could be improved in a virtual setting. 3/25/2021 19:15:034The sessions were generally pretty long, but I felt as though almost all of the information was useful and necessary. Even remotely, the labs helped break up the main content of learning from the slides. This course gave me a great overview of how to use yocto and how to approach the workflow of our particular use case. I will have to continue my learning of yocto, but I feel as though I have the tools to be able to look in the correct places. 4It's hard to evaluate how good the training materials were in comparison to a real life use case with yocto, but the lab materials supplemented the slides very well and the objectives of each lab were very clear. The labs built upon each other in a logical way, and Maxime would usually signal when we were starting out with a non best practice for demonstration purposes.Maxime was an excellent instructor and it was clear that his knowledge surrounding Yocto and Embedded Linux was quite deep. He was always able to give a clear answer to any questions.5Maxime added a lot to the lectures and greatly aided my understanding of yocto. I could always hear and understand him very clearly. A few of the advanced topics at the end ended up being a bit rushed, but that is understandable since they may be rarely encountered with our own projects.5The schedule was appropriate, and the timing meant that we could participate even in the United States which we were thankful for.5I felt like coming in I had a very minimal understanding of yocto and just some minor background on embedded linux, but now I feel confident helping with generating our own yocto images and recipes at our company.3My position wouldn't necessarily call for me to always work on yocto builds or maintaining the layers, but it will be useful as we develop our specialized image and training others to understand the yocto ecosystem. 10I was very impressed with the presentation and the free availability of the information.45Day 3 of the training brought together a lot of the basics that we learned about yocto in the first two days of the training. I felt like I had a decent grasp on what we were learning about in the labs at that point.Probably the very end where we learned about the advanced concepts. Some were interesting, but some felt like they were a bit too complicated in regard to our company's project. Though I appreciated hearing more information about them. The nature of the labs was executing a lot of different commands which was a bit jarring at first, and hindsight maybe we would spend a bit more time on the earlier labs to explain the commands being run in what location.5
