5/20/2021 17:19:024I did not know exactly what to expect. I learned a lot, so that's a win!3I'm glad that the training was split up in half days. It would have been a lot heavier if the lessons would come one after another. 2h of uninterrupted listening is hard to keep concentrated but it is doable.5I can only applaud for your materials! Clear, structured and complete.5Perfect! Good speaker, that explains everything clearly. When asked a question, rephrasing a topic if needed by one of the participants.54Really useful! I tried to make them all within the training week but got stuck at one specific task but I will surely do the rest also!3In my opinion, it goes really fast when looking at Michael doing the demo.55585Availability of online sessions, Open training materials that can be checked in advance, Somebody told me about Bootlin courses being really interesting.Course recommended by previous participantsLinux board support package development, Root filesystem development, Bug fixingIf there would be an options to record and rewatch the sessions, that would be really cool. If it only were till one month after the course. So that one could let everything sink in and reread/watch some specific topics.

5/20/2021 18:03:005I like that the course covers a whole story and is very thorough in doing it. 355I can tell Michael is very passionate, knowledgeable & kind-hearted. Props to you Michael!5All good53555Doing the things myself with the board. That all materials are available and well maintained. The hard ones. 5/20/2021 18:03:36535555254I need to finish the labs myself. A lot of the value is in doing it.5The labs, even though they ran rather fast. Seeing how all the theory is actually realized was very useful. Not sure. 94Availability of online sessions, Open training materials that can be checked in advance, LanguageTechnical resources on the Bootlin websiteBoot time reduction, Power management, Development of real-time systems, Build environment support, Root filesystem development

5/20/2021 18:05:4644the time is needed to go through the topics. Half a day is great. Then I can do the labs and read some topics.44some conclusion on the end of a topic would be great. To reflect some things45This helps a lot to understand it more. I realy needed it.3it is going fast for me. But that's maybe because I new to Linux. 45a lot of topics where new for me. 4block and flash file system and also the bootloader part9a recap at the end of each topic. 4maybe device treeAvailability of online sessions, Open training materials that can be checked in advance, feedback from some friends that took the courseCourse recommended by previous participantsBoot time reduction, Power management, Development of real-time systems

5/20/2021 18:05:535All the topics that I wanted to learn about were covered, so it met completely the expectations.3For the covered topics it had a good duration.5Good documentation, images and web links44I took a lot of notes with insights provided by the instructor.53Good amount of time.5Good overall flow. 54Since I provide support for an embedded linux system this course is useful. 5/20/2021 18:06:365An extra few slides on building applications with CMake (introduction) would be great34 hours per day online training is more than enough, and the pace/tempo is quite high which is good!5lab instructions are very good, but sometimes it would be handy to have here and there some more elaborate solutions. However, now you have to look back and do some research in the slides or on the internet, which is very usefull to learn more and make it stick in the brain :-) so, maybe it is for the best like it is now554Best is to do them yourselve 4555realtime aspects, application dev105yocto, kernel devAvailability of online sessions, Open training materials that can be checked in advance, LanguageTechnical resources on the Bootlin websiteNot interested

3I think that a fair recommendation is to let the students know that they have up to allocate up to 4 hours for doing the labs at their places/homes, so they can correctly know the workload.555Improve showing of the console when sharing the desktop. Maybe using classic gnome instead of this desktop with the lateral bar that consumes place that could be used for the console.53555Building of the u-boot, kernel and rootfs.95YoctoAvailability of online sessions, Open training materials that can be checked in advanceCourse recommended by previous participantsOn-site engineering

5/20/2021 18:09:5654The demos got tedious at times and took way longer than most demos. Having them pre-setup would be faster.

That said, I learned so much watching them being run, typos being made and fixed, and bugs found and fixed that I'm not sure I would want a more canned demo.
35I would answer a 6 if I could. Michael's ability to run extensive live demos and recover when there was a problem was amazing. He has an extensive knowledge of so many difference concepts.5Early on, I thought it would be better if he didn't go off on as many tangents, but as I got used to it, I realized that I learned a lot more that way.

It was not your typical canned presentation and that took getting used to. But once I did, I really liked it.

Michael is super knowledgeable, but also entertaining and likable.
4They were a little tedious to setup. But I also learned a lot from the tedium. 455Unfortunately, I had several meetings that caused me to miss parts of several sessions, but even then, I learned a lot of higher level things that I was wanting. I have to admin I didn't pay as close attention to the demos because that was a little beyond what I was looking for.4Explaining background and high-level details of the various concepts, not just focusing on the code and demos. The demos were too long and complicated.95Availability of online sessions, Open training materials that can be checked in advance, Speaking with Thomas about a possibly partnershipInternet search enginesLinux board support package development, Root filesystem development, Technical support, Technology and architecture consulting

5/21/2021 15:44:313Gave a broad coverage of the topic.3Ideally would have been the same time, but spread over a longer period, to allow more time for lab exploration.3333Very difficult to follow the lab demos, improved screen share would help this.3343Basic system building blocks and techniques.65Availability of online sessionsCurrently a user of buildrootBoot time reduction, Build environment support, Technical support, Bug fixing, Technology and architecture consulting
