Running commands from the slides and repeating some of the steps as the instructor did was very useful.

The instructor managed time very well - making space to ask and answer questions but still keeping things on schedule and on topic.

I wasn't sure if I should get the development board before the class. I imagine it would be very difficult to manage hands-on labs with remote participants though. Perhaps something targeting QEMU would be a way to have remote participants do something a little bit interactive.

This course was eye opening for me. I signed up because I thought it would be helpful for my job but I'm thinking a lot more about buildroot applications for my hobby projects outside work.

Embedded Linux development is not a large part of my job but I do like learning about it.
Availability of online sessions, Open training materials that can be checked in advance, Personally I'm happy when I can financially support companies that work on free/libre software

Not interested, I don't make purchasing decisions but will talk to my team about Bootlin & Buildroot

I really appreciated Bootlin provides their trainings on an online format. This is pleasant, even if we are not physically present and the course fits perfectly with that format.

The subject to cover is wide. Having 5 days to assimilate that knowledge is great. In addition, it enabled me to complete some exercises in between, similarly to the one suggested in the lab materials.
5
The slides is a gold mine. It aggregates most of the information that a regular Buildroot user will need. Plus,. the lab materials contains concrete experiments with the current best practices.
5
Thomas is one of the most knowledgable person I have ever met regarding Buildroot. Plus, his mastery of kernel development helps to answer very specific questions of the participants.
5
I found that the instructor definitely brings value over the content of the slides. The content of the slides are not too huge, very consistent. Thomas helped to smooth that massive content into something that is enjoyable to follow.
5
For Buildroot, I think the practical demos are necessary, otherwise the content of the training would be too theoretical. This is really appreciated.
5
The practical demos do not take too much time over the overall course and is greatly balanced.
4
The course was well organized, with the possibility to have offline follow-up thanks to a chat. Plus, that chat remains open afterwards for future questions, this is great! I would suggest to clarify whether we need to buy the BeagleBone Black with or without the wireless in the course organization.

The part regarding the package creation and the workflow a developer can follow to develop a package in a fast manner.
All the parts were interesting, I have not dislike one in particular.

Thanks Thomas for that awesome training and thanks Bootlin to provide that materials in an open source manner.

The training "Embedded Linux training" would be a good additional asset.

Potentially an OP-TEE development training? I'm not sure Bootlin is interested in that product though.

The course was great but felt very high pace especially when going over the labs.
3
Could extended a day or two to give time for more questions and not have to rush through slides.
5
Labs are great to reference. A lot of great information in the slides too
5
He was able to answer all questions with explanation!
4
Was very knowledgeable but very fast pace
4
I use them to reference for my own builds
1
I felt the labs were very fast pace and could not comprehend everything the instructor was doing. Possibly slowing down to give the students a chance to see what commands the instructor was doing.

The labs helped a lot after we were done with going over the slides. Tied everything together
How fast pace the class was
