Not applicable - My management made the decisionFree Electrons chosen by my managementNot interestedIt would help to check lab progress after each lab. It seemed some people ran into issues early on, but didn't realize it until hours later. One didn't really know if you were doing things "properly" even though the build may work.434I thought some time could have been saved building the SDK (lab 8). Assuming things were done properly, it was basically a matter of running one command and then waiting for 30 minutes. You could have people run this, then explain the next slide section while it builds

2/8/2018 16:49:0933It would be useful to have the actual variable names that need to be used as part of the lecture notes. For example: rather than only saying image features it would say image features (IMAGE_FEATURES = "package-management"). This is done in many places. 4554It would be helpful to have more examples during the lecture portion. Have the instructor go through a live example to illustrate the point prior to doing the labs.445One of the more difficult parts seemed to be how to separate what goes in an image recipe vs what goes in a distro.34Labs were fun.Availability for on-site sessionsTechnical resources on the Free Electrons websiteNot interested5Need to have an advanced section so that if you finish the main lab you can go on to the advanced section (so called extra credit)45

2/8/2018 16:51:583Just right. We had time so explore the labs and apply our new knowledge to our own needs. The instructor was thorough and complete in his explanations. 5Having the lecture document always helps me keep me focused on what the instructor is saying. I can then make notes on the slides.
I really appreciated having the slides in paper form.
5Very knowledgeable. He was able to identify what we are doing, and relay relevant yocto topics to our needs5He was awesome. Added so much context, that I wish I had recorded the session to capture the added value.55Took us through the material in a logical progression while building upon previous knowledge.5Loved the course5I just hope I get the chance to apply it before I forget it.7I though the course was well done.5Android5All of it.None.Not applicable - My management made the decisionFree Electrons chosen by my managementUnknown at this timeHe was able to ascertain issues quickly and guide us in the right direction without giving the answer.5Really helped me cement the materials.Just right, not too hard, but not too simple.33Just right.

2/8/2018 17:17:493Course was just right. We had fairly powerful machines which allowed us to finish the labs a little quicker. This in turn meant more time for asking questions specific to our workflow.Material was excellent, and labs built on each other very well.5Having the slides and lab material available both in print and electronically was very helpful during the lecture and the lab time.5Alex was able to answer all our questions, especially the ones outside the scope of the training.5Really appreciated Alex's insight. He was helpful in helping us understand how we can apply the Yocto framework to our environment.55No problems here.5We have begun using Yocto a little, but this training was exactly what we needed to really make Yocto work for us.4We will be using Yocto to build toolchains for our various products, and ultimately to build the applications as well.735Availability for on-site sessions, Open training materials that can be checked in advanceFree Electrons chosen by my managementNot interestedThe best thing Alex did was actually to *not* give us much help during the lab time. He let us struggle, research using the material provided and online resources, and help each other. Only after most of us were finished did he offer the complete solutions. Forcing us to work through the problems helped us learn much better.5Both instructive and enjoyable. The labs were relevant to learning the material, and gave enough help and hints along the way without being a simple exercise of typing commands given to us.33Our machines were very fast, so the compiling steps took less time than usual. That said, some groups were faster than others, so there was plenty of time to finish the lab and explore a little before moving on.
