. | 3/16/2012 14:47:30 | 3 | I had expected a bit more about software development on Linux, but everything was very interesting and will also be needed in future projects. | 5 | 4 | 5 | 5 | 5 | 5 | 4 | 3 | 5 | 4 | 4 | 5 | 6 | 2 | If there would be a session about software development (C, C++, java, ...) I would be interested. | 4 | Software development and setting up the environments | Realtime part | Availability for on-site sessions, Open training materials that can be checked in advance | Free Electrons chosen by my management | Not interested

. | 3/16/2012 14:51:23 | 3 | Add more pauses + reduce no of slides | Possibility to tailor the course more ? e.g. with or without real time part (which is something we will not use in our apps) | 4 | extensive, good ! | 4 | 4 | 5 | Could answer questions in depth... | 4 | 4 | Perfect | 4 | Our own infrastructure. | 3 | Own computer | 3 | 3 | Used (l)inux before. Course made a lot clear, where we did not know what we were doing before. | 2 | I'm not a programmer, but team leader. It will help me understand issues, delay, countermeasures, ... | 4 | 5 | 1 | This was sufficient for what I require of knowledge. | 4 | colleague | colleague | Not interested
. | 3/16/2012 14:51:43 | 4 | As in previous question, the RTOS section is not realy needed inside this course (but in a seperate course) | There were some parts that needed a bit more depth (like e.g. the bootloader adaptions needed for a embedded board, these were now just downloaded from the site of Free Electrons). Also, the building of applications downloaded from the internet are just "follow the course". One should download a program he wants and tries to compile it and resolves the errors by himself, without the lecture in the course. This could be expanded a bit and the RTOS be removed (this is subject for a stand alone course). | 5 | 5 | 5 | Will build a cross compiler & kernel for MIPS | 5 | Could answer quiet fast on all questions. He knows what he was doing! | 5 | 5 | 4 | 5 | Computers were our own, but additional material (demo boards, converters, ...) were available! | 4 | 5 | 4 | 5 | 6 | 5 | Specific things needed to create device drivers for the kernel. We make our own board and would need to adapt the kernel to work with our boards and hardware. Adding I²C, CAN, exotic PHY's, DDC for video, ... to the kernel. | 4 | Building a cross compiler toolchain, a kernel and the file systems mountings | RTOS | Not applicable - My management made the decision | Free Electrons chosen by my management | Driver development - Make Linux support your new hardware, Build environment deployment and support, Root filesystem design and development
. | 3/16/2012 14:55:56 | 3 | 4 | practical labs could contain more "working examples" as it isn't always clear what to do / or a cheat sheet where you could find some hints on how to proceed | 5 | yep, contains a lot of demos and useful links for some colleagues who are already working with linux | 3 | yep for bootloader configuration for instance | 4 | yep, he's a very clever guy :-) you can tell he has a lot of experience in this area | 5 | 4 | 5 | 4 | 4 | 4 | helped me understand some tasks I already used without really knowing why they must be used that way (like the bootloader stuff) | 4 | 5 | think that some people should make a list of "hot linux items" we are faced with this moment to have a training / discussion about the way we do it and maybe how it could be done better | 5 | 4 | integrating java in linux | 4 | bootloading / debugging & analysis | not usefull for my job: realtime | Not applicable - My management made the decision | Free Electrons chosen by my management | Boot time reduction, Root filesystem design and development, Technical support, Investigating and fixing bugs, Consulting in technology selection and methodology , On-site development, support and consulting services
